Ohio State, West Virginia and Creighton are on the guest list for the Bad Boy Mowers Crossover Classic, scheduled for Nov. 25-27 in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The 12-game, eight-team men’s college basketball tournament will air on the ESPN family of networks.
The first-round matchups include: West Virginia vs. Texas A&M, Ohio State vs. Memphis, Creighton vs. Utah, and Dayton vs. Wichita State.
The event is a new version of the Battle 4 Atlantis, the annual tournament in the Bahamas that was canceled last month due to scheduling delays amid the coronavirus pandemic. Duke was the only team to drop out from the original Battle 4 Atlantis field and was replaced by Dayton.
A limited number of fans will be allowed inside the Sanford Pentagon arena and masks will be required. Teams will stay in a controlled “bubble” environment and will be tested regularly for COVID-19.
“We are privileged to welcome these eight teams to Sioux Falls and will provide them a safe and memorable experience to start their season,” said Jesse Smith, vice president of operations for the Sanford Sports Complex, per ESPN.
