WCMG, WHLZ, WMXT, WWFN, WYNN-AM, WYNN-FM, WYMB-AM, WHSC-AM and WBZF-FM serve the Florence, SC metropolitan market and provide equal employment opportunities to all job applicants. These stations join together as a unit to insure maximum available community resources are utilized to generate qualified job applicants from all segments of our ethnically diverse community.
 
To formalize our program of equal opportunity, these stations will utilize the following procedures to fill all future full time jobs opportunities:
 
  1. A list of recruitment sources to be utilized to generate applicants for every full time job opportunity will be maintained, periodically revised and updated.
  2. Notices of all full time employment opportunities will be widely distributed and dated copies of such notices will be retained. (Full time jobs are those positions with over 30 hours of work per week)
  3. A list of community organizations including those assisting minority and female job seekers will be created, and these organizations will be offered an opportunity to be notified of all full time job openings.
  4. A list of all organizations accepting this opportunity will be maintained and used to solicit applicants for all full time job openings.
  5. In the event of a full time opening, these organizations, and other sources on our list, will be contacted and a reasonable period of time, after contact, allowed before a hiring decision is made.
  6. These efforts will be supplemented with at least two additional recruitment events every two years. The stations will be actively involved in planning and conducting these events. These events will include job fairs, events by community organizations, community gatherings that include substantial numbers of women and minorities, or other events that are reasonably calculated to reach potential job applicants outside of the broadcast industry. All station participation will be documented.
 
These stations will routinely and systematically review the effectiveness of this program and make periodic modifications that may be required to fulfill the goal of offering equal employment opportunities to all applicants and to insure these applicants represent all communities within our service area.
 
A file folder containing dated copies of all written notices, advertisements, letters, faxes and e-mails sent will be maintained. All such documents will contain the phrase ‘Cumulus Broadcasting - Florence is an equal opportunity employer.’
 
Christy Mitchell is appointed the administrator of this program and will supervise and maintain this equal opportunity program.  She will maintain in the public files a folder of all current unsolicited applications and resumes for inclusion in the applicant review for any current position.
